Char Dham Yatra

The Holy Pilgrimage of Devbhoomi

The Char Dham Yatra is the most sacred pilgrimage circuit in the Indian Himalayas. Nestled in the majestic Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, this spiritual journey connects four holy shrines: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. For centuries, pilgrims, sages, and travelers have walked these mountain paths in search of spiritual purification. Yamunotri, the source of the holy Yamuna River, features natural geothermal hot springs. Gangotri, set amidst dense deodar forests, marks the descent of the Ganga River from the heavens. Kedarnath, dedicated to Lord Shiva, stands high in the glacial valley of the Mandakini River. Badrinath, the final stop of the yatra, is the abode of Lord Vishnu, sitting peacefully on the Alaknanda River. The Char Dham yatra is both a physical journey through some of the most dramatic landscapes in the Himalayas and a profound journey of faith.
